Steps: Combine all ingredients in a saucepan. Bring to a gentle simmer over medium-low heat for 20–25 minutes, until the prunes are plump and the syrup has thickened slightly. Remove cinnamon and orange peel. Serve warm over yogurt, ice cream, or pound cake — or chill and use as a topping for cheesecake and pancakes.
